Description

This is a picture of the interior wall of a home in Herculaneum. They uniquely and randomly stacked small cut pieces of volcanic rock gathered from around the base of Mount Vesuvius and mortared them together to form the walls. This wall looked as though it had been sand blasted from the explosion.
